Okay, that title might be a tad melodramatic, but I've got some good news and bad news to deliver.  Good news is, I've started a new writing job.  Bad news is I won't have as much time to wax poetic about break-ups.  That's where YOU come in!  I know if you're reading this and you're human you have either #1 been dumped before or #2 dumped someone else.  And what better way to get some closure on the situation than to write about it?

Think of us as the NY Times Modern Love column, except way less prestigious.

Right about now, you might be thinking "I have SO many good break-up stories, but I'm not a good writer." To that I say, who cares!  As long as you have an interesting or monumentally depressing story to tell, it doesn't matter if you can put a sentence together.  Plus, I'm really good at editing.

So please help the BLOW OFF stay alive by sending us your stories to  FACT: one of our contributors met her current boyfriend after he stumbled across a post she wrote and tweeted her about it. What I'm trying to say is if you're single there's a 99% chance you can meet the love of your life by writing to us.  Oh, and if you're not single-- we still want your blow off stories, because they send hope through the world.

Trust me.  It'll be the perfect way to fill the time while we all sit around and wait to see if Scotland's going to BLOW OFF the UK....

  1. Excellent! Are you allowed to tell us what the job is? :)

    1. Thanks Rebecca! The job is a 5 month writing program for the Disney Channel called the Storytellers program. I think you've inquired about career stuff before, so I'm going to do a post on career ups and downs since I've certainly experienced both in the last couple years!

  2. Congratulations on the job!

  3. I'll happily write Bachelor recaps anytime you need :) And of course my usual posts about my personal blow offs

  4. I'd love to contribute something you'll see a piece of mine soon.
