Encore Presentation: New Year's Resolutions for the relationship folk

This post was originally on the blog at the beginning of 2013, but I'm re-posting it, mainly because I broke every single one of these resolutions so I think it's a good reminder for on how to be a good wife in '15:

I was inspired by 20 LA Wannabe's dating resolutions for the year 2013, that I thought I would make a few of my own for all of us relationship folk.  Cause you never know when you're one wrong turn away from a BLOW OFF.  So, here are a few things I think we should all resolve to do so that we don't ponder how much better the single life might be when we go to bed at night.
Never fight...in public, in front of friends, while intoxicated, right before bed, or in the car on the way to meet friends.  And that also includes snapping at each other.  Basically, I'm only going to pick fights with the sig other in the morning time.

Be romantic.  I know it sounds cheesy, but a lot of times the whole romance thing falls on the guy's plate. In 2013 2015, I'm going to be super sentimental and cheesy.  I'm going to write little love notes and hide them in my H-bomb's lunch bag.

More public displays of affection.  And I'm only saying this because I've been called "the least gushy person in the world" by friends.  I've always been the anti-PDA, but a little kissing in public never hurt no one.  Who am I kidding, I still get annoyed when I see people make out in public.  Okay, fine.  A little ass grab in public never hurt no one.

Surrender the technology in 2013 2015.  The Sig Other and I are the worst at being on our phones all the time.  Right now, I'm typing this on my laptop, while Nashville plays on the TV (note from my future self, we don't watch Nashville anymore), and he sits on the other couch and scrolls through his phone.  Sure, most of the time we are playing Words with Friends together (note from my future self: H-bomb now refuses to play with me), but lately, I find myself realizing we are THAT couple that's sitting at a restaurant on our phones.  The only way I can really get it to stop is if I stop doing it myself.

Compromise more.  I'm totally not one of those push over girls that never has an opinion, but most of the time I'm so opinionated, I steam roll the H bomb without even realizing I'm doing it.  In 2013 2015, I'm going to try and let go more and not care so much if we go to a restaurant I'm not feeling or seeing a movie I'm not into or buying a piece of furniture I'm not crazy about.  Plus, the guy has great taste. I mean, he did after all want to be with me. How can I not trust his judgement on everything else?

What are some of your relationship resolutions?  Comment below!

  1. I want to thank Esango Priest for restoring back my marriage. I got married to my lovely wife in 2012 we both loved and cherished each other so much, i got a new job that required of me to travel a lot due to my position in the company so this made me to have less time for my lovely wife. So there was this trip i went for in Mumbai, India that kept me so long there as i majored in inspecting a project my company new got involved with in Mumbai then i met in Indian woman we got so closed and became very intimate which kept me away from to the extent that i even stopped talking to her on phone my wife. After i had finished my project in Mumbai i came back to New york with her and we both lived in a new apartment that i had just rented. We lived happily together. On the 20th of December 2014 i got back to my senses and remembered that i had left my lovely a wife, so i went on to look for her in the house that i used to live with her and i saw my pretty wife whom i loved so much at home. Immediately she saw me we both busted in to tears, so i told her all that had happened to me ever since i left her then was when she also told me how she had contacted a man called Esango Priest to help restore back her marriage, she went on further to reveal to me that when Esango Priest looked in to it spiritually, he was told that i was under a spell a woman from India had placed on me and my wife has to cast away the spell then i will come back to her three days later. She said she gave Esango Priest money on the 17th of December 2014 to get the items needed to cast away the spell and as soon as Esango Priest got the money he got the items and eventually helped her in pushing out the spell away from my life. I told her to call Esango Priest to thank him for restoring my marriage back to life. You should contact Esango Priest via email: esangopriest@gmail.com to help restore love, joy and happiness in your marriage.
