RIP: Halle Berry & Olivier Martinez

Damn, guys. 2015 is officially the year of celebrity divorces. What's next? Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks? I'll lose my mind. I'm not totally surprised to learn that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are calling it quits. Their relationship was dramatic from the get go with all the conflict they had with Halle's original baby daddy. And this is Halle's third failed marriage. At one point do you just say: fuck, I don't think marriage is for me. Like, I'm pretty sure if my current marriage were to fall apart, I'd be done with the whole damn institution.

Anyway, here's their statement:

"It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children's privacy as we go through this difficult period."

"Heavy heart" might be the most overused words in a public break up statement. Either that or "scheduling conflicts."

Speaking of scheduling conflicts--- another couple to officially call it quits is Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. I'm hoping they'll both gain some break-up weight and look like two normal people now. Who do we think Emma Stone will date next, guys? I literally can't think of anyone. Nicholas Hoult? Is he like the only single guy in Hollywood right now? Think about it. And weirdly, because I know way too much about Hollywood gossip, I kind of feel happy for Shannon Woodward. She dated Garfield for years before he got super famous and then he dumped her for Stone. This has to feel good.

Although, these two might pull a Biel and Timberlake and get back together, get married, have kids, give speeches about how much they love each other. Only time will tell.

Since 2015 has seen more celebrity break-ups than any other year in history (I'm making this up)-- what celebrity couple would you be shocked to learn was calling it quits this year?
